Phlebology
Phlebology
Pathologies of the venous system are one of the more common diseases of civilization. It is estimated that one in five Poles suffers from varicose veins, which are not only an aesthetic problem, but above all a health problem.
At VenaMed Medical Center, we meet the needs of people struggling with such problems. We provide a full, professional diagnosis using state-of-the-art equipment, after which preventive or curative treatment will be proposed. Our experienced phlebologists will select a method tailored to the needs and financial capabilities of each patient.
Sclerotherapy:
Sclerotherapy is a method considered by specialists to be the “gold standard” in the treatment of “spider veins” and as an adjunct to varicose vein treatment. The procedure involves the injection of a drug into the lumen of blood vessels. With sclerotherapy, the vascular endothelium is damaged, which causes controlled inflammation, followed by fibrosis and closure of the vessel, which allows to get rid of small varicose veins.
Laser varicose vein removal EVLT (intravenous laser therapy)
EVLT laser varicose vein removal is one of the most modern methods of intravascular varicose vein removal. The patient does not require medical leave after the procedure, and the procedure is safe even for patients with medical burdens. The procedure involves inserting a catheter that emits laser light into the vessel, leading to the closure and fibrosis of the vessel. Laser varicose vein removal is minimally invasive and requires only local anesthesia.
Radiofrequency varicose vein ablation (RFITT)
Radiofrequency varicose vein ablation involves the introduction of a radiofrequency wave applicator into the lumen of the vessel, which shrinks and closes the varicose vein. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and the patient does not need to take sick leave. Radiofrequency varicose vein ablation is similar to laser varicose vein removal in terms of results and advantages.
VENASEAL – varicose vein bonding
VenaSeal varicose vein glueing is a non-thermal varicose vein treatment that glues the walls of the affected vessel together using tissue glue. VenaSeal varicose vein gluing does not require tumescent anesthesia and is one of the most modern methods available at our clinic.
Varicose vein treatment using the “FLEBOGRIF” method
Varicose vein treatment using the Flebogrif method is an innovative Polish method that involves the insertion of a wire with sharp branches into the lumen of a vessel, which leads to micro-damage and the administration of a drug that causes fibrosis of the vessel. With the Flebogrif method, patients can quickly and effectively get rid of varicose veins, and the procedure is performed under local anesthesia.
ScleroSafe™ method
ScleroSafe™ is an innovative sclerotherapy technique that allows the quick and effective removal of varicose veins diverging from the main venous trunks.
The ScleroSafe method involves simultaneous removal of blood from the vessel and administration of an obliterating agent, which maximizes the healing effect and prevents inflammation and discoloration. At VenaMed Medical Center, we offer comprehensive varicose vein treatment using state-of-the-art methods such as sclerotherapy, laser varicose vein removal, radiofrequency ablation in varicose veins, varicose vein bonding, the Flebogrif method and ScleroSafe. Our goal is to improve the health and comfort of our patients through effective and safe varicose vein treatment
